History
A few words about Pastor Sam Harris,
The Founder
At the early age of four, Pastor Harris understood his need for a Saviour and asked Christ to save him. God called him to preach at the age of fifteen and after finishing school, he entered Bible college to better understand the Bible and prepare for the ministry. After graduating, Samuel worked with two different local churches to gain practical experience in preaching and leading various ministries. Over time, the Lord showed him that Ipswich was God’s will for him and in early 2024, Samuel moved his family there. Pastor Harris is excited at the many opportunities in Ipswich and looks forward to all that God will accomplish in the days ahead.

How it all started
The journey began in 2019
In 2019, the Lord burdened Pastor Harris and his wife to pray about starting a church in Ipswich.
The move to ipswich
A few years later the Lord confirmed that he wanted them there and after being sent out by Shoalhaven Baptist, they moved as a family to Ipswich in early 2024.

After settling in and looking for a building, the Lord led them to Bell Street. On December 15th, Truth Baptist Church held their first Sunday service.
